I'm still a bit sick and the weather was so bad today in Paris that I did not go out at all! I could not take a fresh photo of the day, so here is one I took recently at Les Tuileries Gardens. You probably recognized the famous Ferris wheel that I usually show you every year around this time. But for once, I photographed it during the day. But the real reason why I like this photo is because of the presence of the two ducks in the front! I'all be back on track tomorrow (and I HAVE to go out anyway!).
I swear I can't tell if this is the pond or the Seine. Were you floating down the river in an inner tube ET? Gool perspective.
ReplyDeleteYear before last I rode that thing with Peter. I still can't believe I got the nerve to do it. After I got use to being that high, I couldn't stop taking photos. I would like to try it on a clear and sunny day, if that's possible in Paris in the winter!
Love this photo! Especially the ducks :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pic! Firstly i thought it was London ( you know why :) ). People makes semicircle in the background and these two ducks look absolutely proud! Haha! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it ! It looks like a photo you could have taken in London, Hyde Park, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteThe two ducks are amazing. They may be very cold. They keep their small head inside their 'shoulders' like we do too when we are freezing or like children do when they have to stay quiet!
Hope you're recovering well all your forces, Eric. When sick and when lack of forces, I often admire the energy life does imply! And things come back again to normal within a few days. Have a nicer day, today, Eric!
Keep warm Eric. take care.
ReplyDeletecool!
ReplyDeletenice tranquil picture...looks like the ducks are resting up after the holidays (arent we all?)
ReplyDeletefeel better Eric and stay warm
Great photo as usual Eric and how nice of you not to let us down even when you're sick. My entire family has the flu right now an I totally understand how you feel! Please get better soon!

Ferris wheels make the whole world look magical! Wonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteOf course you're sick - standing up on that roof in the cold taking photos. LOL!
ReplyDeleteGlad you keep a few goodies in reserve to share with us. This one is great! Go to bed early and feel better tomorrow :-)
Great photo, Eric. Looking at water this time of year makes me cold. I love looking at Ferris Wheels but you could never get me on one. I would probably have a panic attack especially if I landed on the top after the ride ended while they were letting people off below. Call me a chicken! LOL
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon. I love the ducks too. They look so smug on a little Ferris wheel of their own!
ReplyDeleteoh .. feel better soon .. I did have this cold in early dec .. what comes will go ..best to you Eric
ReplyDeleteSorry you're under the (nasty) weather—but this picture is terrific! Hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDelete@Virginia "I would like to try it on a clear and sunny day, if that's possible in Paris in the winter!" It would have been today. I would do it with you when you're here, but I'm so afraid of height that it's TOTALLY OUT OF THE QUESTION LOL
