Yes that's Paris! Can't you see the Eiffel Tower in the background?! I took it last evening on my way to a dinner party and you have no idea how difficult it was to reach Le Trocadero on my scooter in this weather! I even had to leave it and return home by metro. But it was fun too. I have more photos, but right now, I'm super cold, super tired and just wanted to post this before going to bed. See you tomorrow ;-)

ReplyDeleteI love this scene.
ReplyDeleteI love this scene.
ReplyDeletevery curious pic!
ReplyDeleteA perfect shot! Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt has an otherworldly feel, Eric. That's what makes it so special.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I love snowfalls and I love Paris. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteReally nice picture with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteParfait! J'aime.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture. I skyped today with family members in Paris who told me about the snow and how cold it has been. They are planning on taking their little one out to the park this weekend so he can enjoy the snow. He just happended to receive a snow suit for Christmas so he will be toasty warm!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend and dont forget to pick up your scooter Eric!
Terrific shot! As Virginia wrote, prize winning photo!
ReplyDeleteNice shot!! :D
ReplyDeletetomate farcie
Love this one, Eric, and I am glad that you did not get "on the ground" to get the Tenin perspective. This one is a winner and I cannot wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
It's wonderful, Eric. I love it!
ReplyDeleteIts so, so lovely! It looks like something out of a dream. The people look transported and the glow of the tower is both delicate and monumental. And, its that signature Tenin blue and gold. Just beautiful....
ReplyDeleteWow! It's snowing in whole Europe.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was in Paris now!
I love all your photos but this one inspires me to leave a comment :). I really, really love this one. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping Eric would show a pix of the snow as it was stunning to look at everything familiar in the city with snow all around it. I thought I was in Minneapolis except Jeff wasn't here. It was magical with the yellow glow of the street lights and the snow falling all over us as we exited a bistro.
ReplyDeleteSome teenagers were having fun, laughing and running with snowballs in their hands, how cute, I thought until, THEY STARTED THROWING THE SNOWBALLS AT US!!! I got mad, and screamed out in English, You don't know who you are dealing with, buddy!, like I was really going to scare them and aim better than them. Then, they started REALLY. Trying to aim well. We had to dodge them with our umbrellas as we ran away. Especially me and my cute little not for the snow boots.
Mr. pHx was sick and did not attend. He said, "You mean they aimed snowballs at old people?" That was the final indignity. LOL!
a superb image! hope you warm up soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant shot! I think I'll use this as my desktop wallpaper for the duration of winter!! By the way, I've never commented on here before but this one was just too good not to do it! :-)
ReplyDeleteThere is definitely something very special about this one—bravo!
ReplyDeleteWow Eric - what an inspired photo, I'm so impresssed. @extradiagetic
ReplyDeletesimply magical, like out of space!
ReplyDeleteWell this one has certainly woken everyone up from their winter hibernation!
ReplyDeleteMore like a painting than a photo. I love it.
Absolutely breathtaking! It has an Impression-esque quality and I love it!
ReplyDeleteFantastique !!!
ReplyDeleteCyndi
PHX, you made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe! And for that comment, I think Mr. PHX deserves a snowball down the back of his shirt. That's the way we used to do it back in the Midwest.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot .
ReplyDeleteWould be wonderful for the calendar or Christmas cards
Same as others: never left a comment but...j'adooore cette photo, BRAVOOOO Eric !!!
ReplyDeleteEt ben... I did not think this photo would be that successful! It was worth the risky trip on my scooter then ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'll disclose a secret... The reason why the flakes are so visible is that, by mystake, my flash triggered!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool shot! It's definitely a successful photo.
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorites! Merci!! xx
ReplyDeleteValorie
LOVE this shot, Eric!! :) I can't stop staring at it... and what an adventure for you! :) sounds like fun! :) Enjoy the snow :)
ReplyDeleteI know painters who strive to acheive half of what you have done with this winter scene at night ! Congrats !
ReplyDeleteWinter is a great time : as soon as you dare stepping out, warmly dressed of course, and face it - you derive a lot of pleasure ! And pretty good pictures too !
Ditto all above and more!
ReplyDeleteThis might be the best photo you've ever taken. You can feel the snow in your face and see the people moving. The ghost of the Eifel Tower is all you need.
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn't be half as good if your flash was off. Someone said "otherworldly" and they were right. Postcard photos are fine, but these impressionistic one are artwork. This one is unforgettable.
