Look at what I found this morning in my street! An ad for a French Cancan show that is going to take place at Le Palace (the equivalent to NYC Studio 54 in the 80's and now a theater) in March and April! The Cancan (that the Brits renamed "French Cancan") is a dance in which women show their legs and Petticoat which was very daring at that time (the Internet did not exist then, remember?!). This new show will be more compliant with the 21st century if we judge from this video teaser... It looks pretty good actually, I might fall for it...

French Cancan is back!

I want that poster! I want to see today's version of the can can too!
ReplyDeleteAaaah! It ends the week before I get there! You're right, PHX, that is a great poster.
ReplyDeleteWill anyone save one of those posters for me? I will share a bottle of wine at a sidewalk cafe.
ReplyDeleteThose are great posters! Ooooo, la la!
ReplyDeleteWell if you fall for it then you must post a photo ;)
ReplyDeleteI was going to say what Debs said! (But of course you would.) The original can-can shows didn't include buff guys as well, did they? A nice addition to the spectacle!
ReplyDelete@Alexa "idn't include buff guys as well, did they?" Nope. You noticed that didn't you? LOL
ReplyDelete@Jeff "Will anyone save one of those posters for me?" I'll try to.
Now that's what I call a "color" photo Eric.
ReplyDeleteMerci for the video link -- the show looks like a lot of fun. The Cancan is a fun dance, lots of screaming, etc. -- not to be taken seriously as some other forms of dance.
