Institut du Monde Arabe

Friday, August 05, 2005 Posted by Eric

By the river Seine, in the 5th arrondissement you can see and visit this magnificent building called L'Institut du Monde Arabe (the Arab World Institute). On top of being an architecture masterpiece, it's the place to discover about all the Arab cultures far from all political issues. If you come to Paris I surely recommend a visit - And make sure you don't miss the top floor restaurant/terrace!

I've added it to my list of places to see. I assume the restaurant serves some type of food apropos to the culture - what type of food is it?

Nice shot Eric. I love the original angle of the photo, and the contrast between the metallic structure, the tree and the beautiful sky, that reminds me of the opposition between mineral and vegetal worlds.

Same here. I am putting this on my list of things to visit next time I am in Paris. One place I really love is the Paris Mosque, a great place to have tea with friends.

    > Rock. I don't know actually about the food. I have been there only once and it was for a cocktail so they had... cocktail food!

    > Thanks Dakotta. In fact I think the tree is too dark but on the whole I kinda like it too!

    > Elisabeth. You're right the Mosque is a super place I will take a pciture one day - but it's alsways extremely crowded at this time of the year.
