City Daily Photo theme day
Today is the 1st of December and it's a City Daily Photo blog theme day. This month, the community chose (we take a poll every month!) "Taking a photo of a person from the waist down". Luckily last evening I went to the launch of Windows Vista in Paris and, for the occasion, Microsoft invited Le Cirque du Soleil to perform. This pair of legs belongs to one of the acrobats from this fantastic circus...
52 City Daily Photo blogs are participating in this theme day, please use the links to below to visit them. Due to time zone differences and other factors, the theme photo may not be displayed until later if you are viewing early in the day.

Gloriously pretty! Adore these colours which flooded my screen as soon as it came up. Lovely photo as ever Eric. Can't wait to see the others tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynn. You will participate next time then. Off to bed now, it's late...
ReplyDeleteWhew! "From the waist down..." so many possibilities. Ahem.
ReplyDeleteI love the reds of this photo. Was there red lighting, too? It looks as if the parquet floor is pinkish.
Was she posing for you in this photo?
Yes there was a right light above us and yes she was posing for me ;)
ReplyDeleteEric, this month theme is weird. So it makes it extremely interesting! And I can say from the few I've seen so far, creativity has no limit!...
ReplyDeleteI am up for a Contest to nominate the best Pic on each Day Theme.
I've already found the one I will vote for this month...
Clue #1: it's not you Eric, sorry (although I like you shot ;-).
Clue #2: it's from a city with a beautiful Opera, a magnificient Bridge and a gorgeous Bay... not in the States.
Yep, ladies and gentlemen, have your say! Check it out here.
The red makes the pose very striking!
ReplyDeleteThe party will probably add $5 to the cost of Vista :)
ReplyDeleteoh,I like the whole red background. looks so hot!!hee hee...like the Paris daily photo blog..:))
ReplyDeleteand i think of some movie star too...:))

Perfectamente, Eric!!! I just love it! Kudos! And what a treat to see the Cirque perform. We'll await your impressions of Vista, of course. Any MS dignataries on hand? Hope you enjoyed yourself.

Good to see that Parisians have a broader interpretation of the waist, as opposed to the rest of the world. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteDid her face look liked a lampshade?
ReplyDeleteWindows vista, wow. Can't say I'm looking forward to that one. On the other hand, if they didn't invent newer and bigger Operating Systems (note I didn't say "better) how would the techs keep their jobs? ;-)
How do all know what the theme is in advance?
ReplyDeleteps speaking of below the waist, how about those pictures of Britney Spears? Oh, la, la, la.
Very colorful. Every keeps saying "red" but I see fuschia. Is it not fuschia...is my color messed up on my computer?
ReplyDeleteSimple colorful and beautiful. Very French :)
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Oh la la...Ca c'est Paris!?!
ReplyDeleteTomate...I love your comment.."Did her face look like a lampshade"!! LOL!!
Oh, la la indeed, luggi. Who would have thought Paris (Hilton) would be modest by comparison ?
ReplyDeleteERIC! You need to re-examine the meaning of "Waist-Down!" Last time I checked...it didn't include two little friends up top! LOL! Couldn't resist...you know MOI! Great shot just the same! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and charming. Love that red - and what a great idea you all came up with!
ReplyDeletei LOOOVE cirque du soleil!!! they are in washington DC right now and i went to see them over halloween :-)
ReplyDeleteneat photo, Eric..i like the pink tones and her pose!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in this photo, Eric!
ReplyDeleteindeed , ooo la la! you must post the face, some day!
ReplyDeleteNo, Eric, i HAVE participated! I've made a small offering at my site, it was just the administration i have messed up on, i don't have the list of participants listed and probably therefore haven't 'entered' properly but i have taken the photo for theme day and you can see it at Cheltenham! It's all great fun and I'm enjoying looking at all the others.
ReplyDeleteoh, this reminds me I have to buy tickets for next years " dralion " show.
ReplyDeletelovely legs !
enjoy your weekend!
Yes i noticed too that you were clearly wrestling with your camera to keep it below waist level!! Eric! I adore these colours, fuschia, red, orange, all together - fiery! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! You had Cirque du Soleil for the Vista launch!
ReplyDeleteTheme Day is a great idea. Each coffee break takes me somewhere in the world with a different take on 'below the waist'. There are some really interesting interpretations, i'm enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteoh and i have listed the participants at my site now too! Got there in the end...
ReplyDeleteInteresting waist down shot starting just below the neck.LOL
ReplyDeleteEric, have you seen the incredible Printemps store ad with the girl dressed in black lace and spikes, tres chic and made to look like the Eiffel tower? And then the Apartment and office tour building designed by a Californian to be a little shorter than Eiffel and be placed in Le Defense renewal area?
Dat's my kinda waist.
ReplyDeleteThat's soooooo, cute (?) - and yes Cirque du soleil is certainly special - lucky you!
ReplyDeleteEric, do you have a "thing" for ladies in red? Because I have this lovely, silky, strappy number I could put on and pose for you;-)
a prestu è amicizia...
A new year casserole sounds very tasty, especially from Bastia, I wonder if it will snow in Corsica.
ReplyDeleteRoll-on le 1er janvier.
You sure do get to the best places in Paris, Eric. Ditto the comments on your interpretation of "waist". I guess it must be a cultural thing, huh? :)
ReplyDeleteI also was subscribed to the launch of Windows Vista but I coudn't go. Great to see cirque du soleil. I love it.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Barcelona
Eric, from the waist down does not mean from the boobs down. :)
ReplyDeleteIsabella ! lol
ReplyDeleteThink it's most women's kind of waist too Ham, though for some of us it's a distant memory :(
OOps Eric people have noticed that your camera travelled upwards completely out of your control. Cameras these days... tut.
Where is Michael's comment? I can complete my day without Michael's comment. OOOps, maybe I missed it.
ReplyDeleteMichael is in Brazil!
ReplyDeletewhat a cute dress! love the colours.
ReplyDeleteNot QUITE from the waist down . . .
ReplyDeleteAnother great shot. The red, oranges, and black--very effective! I also enjoyed reading the eyepreferparis piece about you.
Has the www left out Brazil then? ;)
ReplyDeleteNice colors! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteJust back today to find all of these great photos Eric and, as usual, excellent comments. Will try to read them all, but no promises.
ReplyDeleteLOL Lynn! No, Brazil is quite advanced in many areas, but unfortunately, 2 days there for business left no extra time for PDP.
By the way Eric, not quite a red ribbon, but close enough to also remember World Aids Day today.
ReplyDeleteI know Michael, i was being cheeky! Missed you, that was all!
ReplyDeleteYou missed some laughs, some spats and some good shots. Catch up time! Welcome back.
Red dress and no head is becoming a theme of this blog.
Oh Eric, your photos are so lovely. Thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great shot. It's so Paris! Just like the advertisement on TV and posters.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what people say, as far as I'm concerned, this counts as "from the waist down" because it's truly Paris. Great choice!
ReplyDeletelol nathalie!
ReplyDeleteOooh Cirque. And that's all I really have to add to this. Well, except i like the shot, of course.
ReplyDeleteso is there a winner for theme day or not? As it's my first, i've no idea can someone fill me in?
