  4. Hmm...a want ad on a banner in a public place. Maybe that's what I should try to get a date. Intelligent, rich if possible...if this one works, sign me up!

    I did locate the sites of old cabarets: le Chat Noir was in two different places, but only signs remain. However, the site of le Rat Mort is a strip club, still on Place Clichy or Place Blanche. My guess is this banner is on a construction scaffold on Blvd. Clichy.

Jeff, regarding your question from yesterday (not related to today´s post too, sorry everybody!) about the Montmartre vendange, I came across this information yesterday when reading one of my guides. It seems that it´s possible to acquire a bottle during the period of fête, that occurs in October 12, 13 and 14th.
    So if you´re lucky to be in Paris in October, enjoy!
