Ice rink 2011!

I know you probably have the feeling you already saw this photo on PDP last year - and possibly the year before - but I swear, this is a brand new photo ! I took it at the Hotel de ville where they installed the ice-rink like every year. I took this photo through the transparent plastic walls they have around it. Cool effect.

  1. Very clever. I thought you had got on your knees on the ice for the Tenin Perspective shot. The buildings in the background look fantastic.

  2. C'est génial! Ma première idée était en effet comment vous pouviez prendre une photo entre tous les gens sans être culbuté :) bon mardi!

  3. This shot didn't take quite as much courage as I'd first thought—but it's a great shot all the same! (And I look forward to your ice-rink photo every year.)

  10. That is fun, but I wait for the day when you are the star of the shot, Eric, especially your annual skating in Paris shot! (Or Michael, he would be an excellent subject as well.) :)

  11. Very cool effect! I would love to try a shot like this, I love yours so much. I think revisiting a shot or location and creating a series that relates to each other is really beneficial and interesting for both viewer and photographer. We improve on the shot as we get to know it better and generate ideas from what worked well or poorly before, and viewers get familiar with a place or scene and come to know it better. I for one feel like I've been skating with you for years :-).

  12. LOL Christie...you don't know how many photos I have of him that would make great PDP shots. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to crack his Blogger username and password! Hey, we could start an EDP (EricDailyPhoto.com) just for fun! An idea is brewing...
