In the 13th arrondissement again when I came across this man in the doorway. I really don't know what he is doing or why he's dressed that way, but he looks like a cross between a motorcyclist and, if you look closely, maybe a roller-derby player. Anyway, I really liked the shot.
I love the shot, too. He is a photograph, right? Perhaps he's an advertisement for something as yet unnamed. It would be nice if he weren't and Paris is one place where I'd not be surprised if he were art, but I'd not be surprised if he were part of an ad campaign somehow!
ReplyDeleteDoorman?
ReplyDeleteAmateur d'escrime?
ReplyDeleteBelated happy new year wishes to you dear Eric!
So,,,,,, this is the entrance to the man cave? HA
ReplyDeleteReal or not - he is too cool!
ReplyDeleteIt is a doorway, you can see the handle. The door has an enlargement of the image of the man applied to it. Clever.
ReplyDeleteNeverless, makes for a good image with all the sheet metal.
I want one of these for my front door!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Eric.
Man door! Love it.
ReplyDeleteLOl @ Charlotte!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought he was real!
At first glimpse I thought you'd come across The Stig from Top Gear (the only car show worth watching on tv, and I don't watch car shows, a quick google image search will show you why), but on blowing it up I think it's someone taking a break from fencing, which seems much more Parisian anyway.
ReplyDeleteI've seen this before, it's a stencil graffiti.
ReplyDeleteHe is, simply, the man door and he calls our attention.
ReplyDeleteRegards
Valery

I just have one question: Where's the woman door?
ReplyDelete*giggle* (And what would THAT look like?)
I love this!
ReplyDeleteHe looks more like an austronote, but good shot, after all.
