Rain
It's raining a lot in Paris these days and since it's pretty "warm" (10°) there is no risk of ice, nor snow. FYI, like I already mentioned here once I think, it rains on average 171 days per year in Paris (including16 days of heavy rain), that is roughly once every other day... I took this photo from a balcony, where they still have Xmas decorations on. I kinda liked the two little figures in the background of this photo ;-) Have a nice week everyone, whether it's going to be raining, snowing, blowing, shining... in your area ;-)

Love this photo!
ReplyDeleteThis is a magical photo, Eric. Completely magical.
ReplyDeleteMagnifique.
ReplyDeleteWhat a refined and delicate foreground. Love it. Love the colors. Love the graceful composition. Congratulations ...
Terrific shot, the way it fades away, the water drops , great composition. It is really great.

Eric, I love this one! Deb
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot!
ReplyDeleteParis in the rain is glorious. Love the touch of red in the background.
ReplyDeleteLovely Photo. I just found your blog and love it.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was fooled at first by the decorative lights. Like La Petite Gallery, I thought they were ice droplets on snowy branches. That is pretty much what it looks like here, so you can't blame me. (It's about 10 here also: -10C ! Or about 14 F.)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Love the pop of the red umbrella.
ReplyDeleteA great photo! It looks a cross between mystic and Japanese.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, what a pretty shot. You almost make the rain look enticing! Well, I suppose Paris makes rain enticing enough.
ReplyDeleteOh if it were only this pretty when you're walking home with the groceries! I had to relook at your calculation Jeff, then I noticed the "minus" before the 14! Brrrrr
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!!
ReplyDeleteI love Paris in the winter when it drizzles...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, Eric!
what a beautiful shot today- thanks Eric
ReplyDeleteI love the photo too, esp. the small touch of red. Glad it's warmer. I've been in Paris when it's rained 27 out of 30 days...but it's still beautiful. -- Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I simply love it!
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, I have to admit, I thought these were two little birds on a frozen branch, lol.
ReplyDeleteTrès belle photo! J'aime bien que le couple au fond est floue, c'est unique. Je vous souhaite également une très bonne semaine :)
ReplyDeletewow, what beautiful composition...it's like a watercolor painting.
ReplyDeleteAnother amazing photo Eric. I think that obtaining great simple photos is really difficult. An image of love in winter.

I'm usually not a fan of rainy days, but I have to admit rain in Paris would be something to see and experience. Especially in April, I've heard...(or so Audrey Hepburn said in "Sabrina")
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...you have such a good eye.
ReplyDeleteAs always we never know what we're to see on PDP, but that it's going to be not only good but educational. After all,Eric, you are a journalist. How lucky are we.
Thanks
Cyndi
Well done Erik ! Great composition...I especially like the reflections and the splashes of color.
ReplyDeleteLove this image, Eric. A stunner. Rain here too - endless...
ReplyDeleteGreat composition Eric. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful shot. I LOVE the splash of red - how it contrasts with the pale green. I also love the reflection in the sidewalk of the couple walking. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is ART. You may think of yourself as a journalist and a techie dude, but your images speak much more in their beauty and the ways you provoke thought. Kudos! (. . .and calendar consideration!) :-).
ReplyDelete-Kim
I'll ditto Kim. This is a gem of a photo !!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful
ReplyDeleteAaaaaahhhhhhhhhh...all of the above...
ReplyDeleteParis still looks magnificent even though when it rains.. ;)
