Dinner with PHX-CDG!

Those of you who are long time visitors to PDP all know who PHX-CDG (aka "US Lynn") is... She's had a love story with Paris for some time now, and since her job allows her to come here as often as possible, well she takes full advantage of  it! Earlier this week I had the pleasure to have dinner with her at Aux trois petits Cochons (the three little pigs), a very nice little restaurant on rue Tiquetonne in the 2nd arrondissement. I had salmon, as you almost can see ;-) On the way out, I took this photo of her!

  3. WHAT A SURPRISE!!!! Gasp! Um, ah,

I'm thrown about what to say right now!
Well, not only do I have a love story with CDG (like all of you), but also with my company that evening!!!

And finally, I know what the food was all about in this photo, instead of hungering and wondering what Eric ate.

The restaurant was chosen because Mr. PHX and I will be living on that street for a week in June, and the other picture is the doorway to our place.

  4. I had the pleasure of meeting the delightful PHX-CDG at the PDP picnic almost three years ago. I also remember her involvement in the PDP constitution and the daily battle for the golden finger.

  5. It looks and sounds like a delightful evening, Eric and Phx. How could it not be so, with such company.

Justine, nice recollections ~ on that note, "Cali ~ GF, yay!!"

  6. I want that salmon dinner. I want to visit Paris like it seems so many of my friends are doing right at this time or planning to do by May. If I got to Paris I want to have the trip immortalized by you. Life is not fair! That's one reason I am so glad to have PDP; thanks, Eric. :)

  7. Just think PHX, this can be your "canteen" as we say here when you eat at the same restaurant frequently. And this year you're sure to be at the picnic at the end of May I'm guessing?

  8. The food looks wonderful...I especially like the reflection in the goblet of Chateldon water! Marvelous that you were able to get together. Rue Tiquetonne is quite charming...i have a friand with a flat near there and pass through frequently when going to visiit or to UGC for films.

  9. Lovely!! I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time. Now...just a little more info on what you had for dinner! I've looked, but can't make up my mind as to what it is. Details, please! :)

  10. It was fish for sure, and I'm pretty sure it was salmon, but I'm not 100% certain. The thing on top was some sort of a "lace" crust; very good. That is all I remember.

  11. This look SO délicieux. I put the name and address in my Paris Moleskin, so I'll remember the place on my next visit.

Michael do you have some insider knowledge about the date for the picnic ??? I have been nagging Eric about it since January, and soon I will not be able to get tickets (do you hear this, Eric ? Nag...nag...)and I SO want to meet PHX and the rest of you again.

  12. PHX ig THE best companion one can have in Paris.
Always cheerful, absurdly kind, she is the cherry on the top of the Eiffel Tower ;)))

I've had the immense pleasure of meeting her and Mr.PHX
I remember one night, the place she took us for dinner was simply the best soufflé I have ever had. Strongly recommend La Cigale Récamier, in the 7th.

    Miss you PHX!!

  14. @Bettina. The Picnic will definitely take place during the last week of May. I did not decide on the date yet. If you have a preference it's the perfect time to say what it is!
