The champions are back!

I know you must be fed up with the Olympics, but it's only the second time I mention them since they started! Today, "Les Bleus" (the French sportsmen always dress in blue!) came back from London with the Eurostar and I knew that if I went to the Gare du Nord, I would have many photo ops. I did! And for once I was not able to chose between two types of photos, so here are both of them! I'm not a big sport fan nor super patriotic, but on these special occasions I can be easily moved!

Julie Bresset, Alain Bernard, Teddy Riner, Florent Manaudou, Alexis Vastine, Steeve Guénot.

  2. You can’t help but be patriotic when watching athletes from your country competing in the Olympics. Personally I cheered for the American and the French in every event where both countries competed. Congratulations to all winners and participants!

  4. It was a fun two weeks although I didn't watch as much of the games as I would normally do. Nice collage of the medallists.

  6. Being an artist type person, I've never been very interested in sports. It is fun to watch the Olympics, though, even as your photos display.

  7. Post Olympic Depression has set in. The party's over. What are we to do now?
Oh well, not long until the football (soccer)season starts!

Well done to the French athletes, those medals represent years of hard work and dedication.

  8. Hard to say which of these shots I like the best! Congrats to all the athletes, but I admit to having a bit of a "moment" when young Claressa Shields won the very first gold medal for women's boxing.

  9. You won somethings???? Hard to believe watching the coverage here !!!! In fact they even cut away to the commentary team and talked all the way over a gold medal ceremony. You could hear the Marseillaise in the background Rather rude to say the least .

  10. @Roniece " well the second one is my favorite with all that eye candy! LOL" Why am I not surprised??

@Pickled Parrot "You can’t help but be patriotic when watching athletes from your country competing in the Olympics." True!

@Ms M. "Great photos, especially the montage!" Thanks. Are you like Roniece?!

@Stefan "although I didn't watch as much of the games". Me neither really only when I knew France could get a few medals LOL!

@Anonymous "Pickled Parrot said it perfectly!" Are you Pickled Parrot? LOL!

@Drummond? "Post Olympic Depression has set in" Yes. Now you have to pay taxes LOL!

@Alexa "I admit to having a bit of a "moment" when young Claressa Shields won the very first gold medal for women's boxing." I did not see that. Call me chauvinist and old fashion, but I'm not I like the idea of women and boxing together. (Why did I say that???)

@Jaq "You won somethings???? Hard to believe watching the coverage here !!!!" Yeah well it's the same everywhere I'm afraid. Here they would not shut up a single minute!!!

  11. I watched as much as I could! I LOVE the Olympics and now my children are fans just like me. :) We stayed up way too late for 2 weeks to watch every minute we could. Miss them already and can't wait until Sochi!

  13. I saw on the news today a nice story about Teddy Riner returning to Pointe Pitre as a hero. I found
this video which gives you a good idea of how nice it was for him.
