How many times in your life did you miss a love opportunity because you did not dare talking to someone or respond to someone who was obviously trying to make contact with you? I'm sure many times... Well, before (that is before the Internet age!) you would simply go home with your regrets hoping that fate would smile at you a second time. Now - if you live in Paris at least! - you can place an ad on Oncloupe.com (we missed each other.com) - describing your missed opportunity (eg. "you were wearing a red dress, I asked you when the next bus was coming") and hope that the "red dress" reads your ad ;-) Isn't that cool?

Give love a second chance...

Cool indeed.
ReplyDeleteI would NEVER have understood what that was about if you didn't post and explain it. I just thought Cupid ate one too many Maison du Chocolate, Pierre Marcolini, and Michael Cuizel chocolates . Not to mention Angelina products. Or the contents of Kayser bakery like I did. Nothin' like eating yourself into a coma over their white chocolate bread....and that was just in their NYC store!
ReplyDeleteaawww this is so cute. I love it
ReplyDeletejust a very cool and fun concept. for whatever the reason, the world needs more love
ReplyDeleteThis is a cool idea. But Cupid looks a little scary....
ReplyDeleteI hope it works! Let us know if you hear any good stories.
ReplyDeleteI'ts February, nearly Valentines. I am a hopeless romantic. Yes wouldn't it be cool if you could follow one!
ReplyDeleteLove Denise
its never too late to have a second shot.... we have a daily paper in Brisbane that has a column for commuters who are curious to met each other, for all us hopeless romantics xox
ReplyDeleteCloupe.com means it all ... !!! But the concept is fun ... At least it implies that the two who missed each other have heard of the website before... I think this already worked in a few newspapers. I'm afraid 'Give love a second chance' is not common but this is nice to give it a fun try. Aaah the first time Aphrodite met Appollon... So many strong stories have followed... Sad or happy ones. I dislike sad ones except in books or movies... So long life to the concept.
ReplyDeleteVillage Voice in New York City was the place for those types of ads.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't forget the infamous "crackllist!" Sorry, Craigslist!
ReplyDeleteCome on, don't compare craigslist to this beautiful cupid :)
ReplyDeleteI checked the page and I love it - also try the link onblague.com on the page, lots of good french (and belgium!) jokes. i don't get them all though
@Mrs M "This is a cool idea. But Cupid looks a little scary...." LOOOOOOOOOOOL
ReplyDelete@Alex does not agree though... "Come on, don't compare craigslist to this beautiful cupid :)"
I guess this is like the way we text in English: r u happy? c for c'est? Have to agree with Ms M—that's the creepiest Cupid I ever saw! But it's a great idea.
