The longest graffiti wall in Paris

I had a super long day in Lille (North of France) today and I'm REALLY exhausted, but I managed to save some energy (the very little one that I still have tonight!!) to post this photo that I took a few days ago along the longest graffiti wall I know if in Paris. Look how vivid the colors are, it's amazing. I don't even know what's behind this wall located in the 18th arrondissement, the only thing I know is that every time I passed by it, the scenery changes!

  1. I really like your composition in this shot, Eric. Fun to see the artist has incorporated a copyright symbol and date into the artwork. Now, what do you suppose that character with the Ace of Spades is up to?

  2. Very interesting photo. And because it changes frequently, perhaps it could be called "living" art?

  3. What a piece of wall... How not to think of the Berlin Wall, which separated East Berlin from West Berlin until nov., 9, 1989. The wall of shame...

You may have a look at this link to a wikipedia page if you like to see what the current East side Gallery in Berlin is with all vivid paintings now :

Or this one for the video : http://www.eastsidegallery-berlin.com/

  4. About the wall : Just reminded me of these lyrics of the Pink Floyd famous song :
"all in all it's just another brick in the wall. All in all you're just another brick in the wall"...

Well this is a bit off this photo in Paris ... because here, this is probably only a fence with vivid street art paintings.

  5. Nice graffiti but the wall itself is a bit scary.

  6. The perfect canvas for this sort of "art"—but you do have to get pretty far off the tourist track to see it (maybe that's a good thing).
