Montmartre wine harvesting

I don't know if you remember my last year's post, but like every mid October Montmartre is having a little party to celebrate the harvesting of its vineyard. Only this year it was the 80th anniversary, so the party was larger than usual. It's a very French event where you can not only discover many things about Montmartre (people who live there like to think they are different from the rest of the Parisians...), but also about the French "terroirs" (regions).  These two cool people for example are dressed up like in the old times and they probably come from the center of France  (I guess, but I am not sure). More in English or in French on the official site

  1. I really like ! This couple.
I really love the man's face.
    The easy posture of both.
I really want to say I love it...
The human feelings I can put on them.

I really adore your photo. Simple and modest.

  2. Has a year really gone by? It went by so quickly. The couple in the photo look so content and comfortable with each other (and with you as the photographer). --Sara

    1. Tell me about it. I still haven't found the "stop the world clock" button! (And though I've been looking for it for some time now!)

  3. If I lived on Montmartre I'd feel special, too.

  4. This couple looks very content and the word "bon vivant" comes to mind! I would think that good food, lots of laughter is mostly part of their lives. I was raised in the center of France so I know what you mean Eric.

    1. No, not really... I was not the only one, so they probably have too many to choose from!
