Like every year, the square located in front of the Paris town hall (hotel de ville) has turned into a huge temporary garden. All what you see in this photo is meant to last until July 12 only! No pond this year (it was probably too expensive!), but many different kinds of plants and trees and even an... insect hotel ! OOOPs sorry, I made a mistake when posting and the photo did not show up in due time!
Hey no problem. You can, like, post mañana, man. Have another gin and tonic.
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
DeleteIt's a nice idea.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how early you have to get up in the morning to get one of those deckchairs, or perhaps you are only allowed a short time before you are "moved on" !
Well apparently it's a "struggle for life" policy!
DeleteI'd like the job of planning just what they will do in front of the Hotel de Ville each year. I'm with Drummond—bet those chairs are in high demand!
ReplyDeleteI'm with YOU. I want that job too! (And the budget that goes with it...)
DeleteI have been there for the skating rink but never for the "garden!" If the Stock Market would just quit this roller coaster ride I might be able to return!! It has been far too long since I have had Paris to myself....this shot makes me want to pack a bag and leave!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree! You deserve to come back to Paris! As for the stability of the stock market I would not bet to much on it!
DeleteIt is just lovely! (Although I would have to say that some standard roses and some flowering things would be even lovelier! I love color!)
