Carreful with the glasses!

Another sunset today, but not on a monument! Only on a bunch of glasses from Le Petit Zinc, a typical Belle Epoque (1900) restaurant located in the Saint Germain des Prés area. I took this photo around 10 pm. I am off to the provinces (Vichy) again until Sunday so I won't be able to reply to your comments (but I will read them with pleasure on my mobile phone!). Needless to say that the photo posting does not stop... By the way, I don't know if you noticed but there are currently 99 active City Daily Photo blogs at the moment. Which city is going to be the hundredth?!
Update: I know now who the 100th City Daily Photo Blog is! And the winner is... Indianapolis by Shelly. Congratulations...

In a way, I hated to see a different photo supercede the Pont Neuf bridge that both you and Michel photographed so superbly. The glasses shine too!

I was a habitué of Le Petit Zinc when it was next to the Munich on Rue de Buci (and actually did have a petit zinc[1] near the entrance). Since it decamped to the larger premises on R. St. Benoit I've only been once. C'est bon, mais c'est pas la même chose.
[1] A "zinc" is an old-fashioned bar top, literally made of zinc, which at one time could be seen in every café in France.

Eric, how nice to post the Le Petit Zinc photo after the Pont Neuf photo. Last year, I celebrated my birthday at Le Petit Zinc, and this year we had a Seine party on my buddy's birthday. Whoopee! This week has been tough...oh waaah!

99 glasses of wine on the wall...the lighting is so full in this shot that it immediately makes me want of a nice glass of Riesling.

Great photo! I love the angle that you took it from, and the light reflecting on the glass.
I used to bartend for big events/parties and we would line hundreds of different glasses up like this.

Hello! I was delighted to find this picture on your blog. I haven't been on in a while so I was catching up. Imagine my surprise to see Le Petit Zinc...the restaurant where my husband proposed to me in 1992! We visited last summer and I don't think it's changed in the last 100+ years! Simply darling. Merci!

Hi, great blog by the way - didn't think you'd mind me posting this anonymously - as you do allow anonymous posts ;-).
Anyone tried this Skype program yet for free telephone calls over the internet? A guy at work uses it all the time and because he signed all his friends and relatives up he saves a fortune on his calls. Might be worth a go.
