Frog hangouts

This photo is of one of several of the FrogPubs chain which was started by a couple of students studying for their MBA at Insead university. The Frog and Rosbif is their signature pub, which opened in 1993 on rue St Denis, and is now part of 6 other pubs started from a school project. Imagine the homework necessary to come up with this concept! The chain is a big success with expats, tourists, and local Parisians.

  4. If i had to choose, i would go to the Frogpub located "rue Princesse".
The small area grouping "rue Princesse" (street opened around 1600), "rue Guisard" (opened also around 1600) and "rue des Canettes" (already existing in 1250!) belongs to the real "old Paris". It is also a rare (the single?) remaining lively area with typical "Saint Germain des Prés" atmosphere of the fifties, where clubbers can still go late in the evening to have a drink in old bars, or eat.
Rue Princesse, there is also "Chez Castel", a famous night club/bar where french VIP go to have fun: you don't have advertisement for it, one has to know it to notice it: it has a red front, 15 rue Princesse, but you have to be well dressed, and you can't be sure they would let you in.
