Lunch outside

Pretty soon it'll be cold in Paris and it won't be easy to have lunch outside. So, before it is to late I took this shot. No much to say about it, just that I like the effect of the awning blinds...

  1. The shot is very film noir...shadows and darkness, and things....Oh! My!

  5. I'm back from my mini-break to Las Vegas and just got caught up on all the PDP's I missed!

Cool shot - I like these "day in the life" pix. It does look like a scene from a movie. We need Lynn to give us some dialogue!

  10. Yep. It's definitely Heinz tomato sauce behind the venetian blinds. Don't they have a law in Paris that bans such crudities ?
    Perhaps Michael was responsible, non?

  12. It's September, not October! Maybe you were spoiled in Florida with the tropical heat? Come on, is September a cold month? I don't know about Paris, but it's one of the best months here, warm in the day and cool for sleeping at night. (Actually, it's 90 degrees F today.) It's a nice film noir photo indeed, but it's too soon to be fearing winter. There's plenty of time to dance in the parks, and eat at the sidewalk cafes.

  13. And yet you are on the inside taking pictures of people eating on the outside. Have you give up on nice weather already? =)

  14. Seriously folks, it is already feeling cold here. It was a high of 18c(68f) yesterday with a low of 8c(58f)! That's cold for September!

  15. Jeff: in Paris, you start wearing that extra layer or two right around now. I miss the "Back to School weather, the smell of the grass and dirt after the rain, but I don't miss the cars splashing pedestrians on the sidewalk when it rains, and I sure as hell don't miss Winter (Nov. through Feb.) in Paris.

  16. Thanks for seeing this opportunity and taking it. I really like the fact that it's black and white, too, because I feel color would have not suited it.
