A must see gallery in Paris

Yesterday evening I attended a big opening in Galeriew, a gallery that I really love and where I already took a photo last year. It's not only very well located (near Les Abesses, not far from Montmartre) but it's also a great place to see. And, last, but not least, this gallery features real good artists. If you happen to be in the neighborhood do pay it a visit, it's located on 44 rue Lepic in the 18th arrondissement.

  1. Merci pour l'info, c'est une galerie que je ne connaissais pas!

  2. What? Another art gallery in Paris! Imagine that. :-) The floating walls displaying the artwork is clever. Was there any wine at the opening?

  7. So this is one way in which you exercise that amazing eye of yours.

I like the soft, liquid, air-brushy floor, the textures of which are picked up in the blurry people movement; contrasted with the sharp angles and straight edges. And again that nearly flawless composition.

  9. What a great coincidence!!!
Yesterday afternoon, I was again in the site of GalerieW to search for new items...
I am also surprised how I missed you last year post, where it shows one of my favorite artist's paintings in the background!
I will send my partner who is now in Paris to check the new opening and tell me if there are any new paintings of Celeste Bollack!

Really a must see gallery, Eric!
And your photo is really great!

  11. Good information for those of us who have never heard of this gallery. And just from doing a quick perusal of the artists, I already decided my favorite is Troy Henriksen, who is also a poet. And my favorite painting by him, bar none, Blessing of a City. C'est trop cool!

  12. Eric & Le Grand Famille,
I still view PdP everyday but I have not been feeling too well so I don't comment away as I used to do. I can't wait to see this museum. Every year I have a long list of musts to see in Paris but we are rarely there for more than a week since we are trying to explore all of France and only have 5 week a year to accomplish same. Best to all!! Johnny

  16. Hope you're feeling better Johnny. Can't have our favourite movie critic down and out.

I still haven't been to this gallery Eric but must go. Maybe this weekend.
