I'm not a big car fan, but sometimes, when I see one with a nice or original shape, then I'm tempted to take a photo. That's what I did last evening at
Place Saint Germain, where Tribes, the event I told you about Wednesday, took place. FYI this is an Aston Martin, but that is all I can tell you about it!
I'm not an Aston expert, but I think it's a DB6. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYup, a DB 6. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteBond...James Bond. Okay, couldn't resist. I agree with the above comments. Definitely an eye-catcher and worth using the zoom. I didn't realize that you weren't "a big car fan" Eric. By this photo you took, one would not know it.
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly in the dark when it comes to cars. Just give me a car that has good tires, and the motor runs and I'm happy. I do like the red on this car!
ReplyDeleteIt is an Aston-Martin DB6. The DB6 was launched at the 1965 London Motor Show. (DB stands for David Brown, the long-time boss of Aston-Martin.)
ReplyDeleteEh, tyres Kris!
ReplyDeleteA thing of beauty is a joy forever
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing somebody who was eating at Les Deux Magots.
ReplyDeleteOnly a very brave soul would dare to park a car as nice as this on a Paris street - I hope he didn't get a dent or a ding!
ReplyDeleteVery nice ... but almost too much for Paris! That said the pleasure of driving, outside Paris ... Let me think...
ReplyDeleteSo Eric, is it bv's car ? LOL (or maybe I should not laugh, if it is really his!...) ;)
you needn't say more, your image says it all.
ReplyDeleteThere she goes..."Eve Evil in her Red Car!!!" I would love to be driven around Paris in a car like this...the operative word is "Driven!!"...LOL!!
ReplyDeletePublic announcement: Today is Alexa's birthday!
ReplyDeleteNice car. I also love the cobblestone road.
ReplyDeleteEric you forgot to add "and this car is the present that I bought for for her"
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Alexa!
PS It was my birthday last Monday, what do I get?
Bonne Anniversaire Alexa!
ReplyDeleteShe gets the car. Drummond, didn't you have the privelege of topping off the gas tank on Monday? That was your birthday present!
Yikes—I've been "outed" by Eric. :~} I think the owner of this car would love your photo, mon vieux!
ReplyDeleteIt does take nerve to park a bright red Aston Martin on the streets of Paris (it also takes great parking karma to get a spot like this). BTW, I just saw a used on online for only $235,000 (!).
I am a big fan of the cobblestone street. The car is here and now but will never last as long as the cobblestones.
ReplyDeleteBonne Anniversaire, Alexa! And belated Bonne Anniversaire Drummond!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's red! Enough said! :D
ReplyDeleteTomate Farcie
I have a good car photo I took last time I was in Paris. Id love to show you but don't have your email address.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I'm not a big car person, but I do love a fast set of wheels!
