Where is Waldo? Or should I ask "Où est Charlie?" as that's what he's called on this side of the pond, well, search no more... He is currently in Paris, and more precisely by the Bourse Metro station, where I found him this weekend! I thought it was a fun way of starting the week, that's all! ;-)
So no direct translation of Waldo? Great start to the new week... looking for Charlie?

ReplyDeleteI always wondered what was so fascinating about those books, then a professor told me it was good for developing "visual acuity". They still aren't my favorites, but the little Waldo does have a style all his own. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these cross-cultural names. "Ou est Charlie?" substitutes assonance for the alliteration of "Where's Waldo?" Hmmm....going through the who what when where why:

Not so hard to spot him without a crowd around him, is it? I wonder which is the original—Waldo or Charlie (or some other version).

The Where's Waldo books are great fun to look at with a primary school age kid. You don't just look for Waldo, you have to find all sorts of things in the pictures. It's awesome that you found him inparis!
