Sun, sun and more sun!

I guess the song is going to have to be changed to "March in Paris" LOL, for it's the second year in a row that "March is the new April, or even May or June LOL". Look at the weather forecast for the coming days... Plus 8 degres C on average, compared to a "normal" year. FYI, I took this photo at rue Montorgueil, a very famous pedestrian street located in the 2nd arrondissement. Have a good weekend everyone.

  2. Love the reflection and the shadows.

We're having the same early warm spring here in Chicago. Just finished 8 straight days of record high temperatures for the dates.

  3. Yep, incredibly warm here in Minneapolis, also. Crazy.

And merci beaucoup for the correction on "bon anniversaire". I incorrectly remembered it as a feminine noun because of the final e, of course. It's one of those odd ones. There are a few of us around.

  4. Jeff, I remember we were in Paris and my wife wanted to post a postcard (we did that in the olden days). She asked directions to 'Le Poste'.
The gentleman wagged his finger and said 'LA Poste madame' before giving us directions. I still get genders wrong, but NEVER 'La Poste' - 'bon anniversaire' is now added to that list!

Eric, for more info about yesterday's car, Google 'Alfetta takes to a Parisian Street'

  6. Eric, you sure do know how to capture a great picture and I love the color contrasts. Please save some of your good weather for my visit at the end of April. When I was in Paris last September for 9days it was mid80s and sunny every single day! Here in Connecticut it has been June like weather most of the month, flowers and trees are already in bloom.....but "colder" weather coming next week to put us back in to reality. Have a great weekend everyone!

  7. Great atmospheric photo - a good candidate for post-processing to a B&W! Thanks for the weather update in Paris - we are scheduled to arrive "le premier mai" this year for our annual 2 months of "Paris in the springtime." Can't wait to sit along rue Montorgueil and watch those shadow form!

  8. What fabulous shadows! BTW, we're experiencing the same thing here, Eric. The daffodils, etc. have recently bloomed—a full month earlier than they did last year.
