Last run through Paris?

Yesterday morning the 13th old car parade took place in Paris. I went to one of their stops at Invalides and it was really cool (I have many photos but did not have the time to select them yet). It might me the last of the kind for the Paris town hall is about to pass a law that prohibits cars older than 17 years to drive through Paris (to avoid pollution). The bill is still in progress; let's hope antique cars will have a special persmission once or twice a year...

  2. Oh so cute! When I was a child my uncle had a red Alpine Sunbeam, and my dad had a blue bug-eyed sprite, so this takes me back to many happy memories of trips from Anaheim up the PCH to central California, our hair blowing away behind us unless my mom and I wore scarves. (I know, there are only two seats, but I used to ride between them with my body partly in the boot :-).) I'm not recognizing this make. . .what is it? Anyone know?

  3. When someone tells 'an old car' I always imagine Fiat 126p. These cars absolutely couldn't drive in Paris! :)

  4. Eric, you offer something for everyone, now showing the adult toys (bubbles in pool for children a few days ago). These are beautiful automobiles and remind me of the Audrey Hepburn days.

  5. I see a ragtop Cadillac and is that a yellow Jaguar XKE?

Here we go again, same song:

    I can see you
Your brown skin shining in the sun
You got the top pulled down
    Radio on baby

  6. Oh, that would be tragic if they could never drive there again! These are lovely, and I understand about wanting to keep the pollution down, but there has to be a balance between art and sensibility!

  7. I hope they would make an exception for classic cars at least once a year.

Bet it'd be fun to take a drive in that red car :-)

@Kim I'm not recognizing this make. What is it? Anyone know?" I think it's an Alfa Romeo - I'm pretty sure actually.
