Harlem Shake Paris!

Unless you live under a rock, you surely have heard of "the Harlem Shake", this Web "meme" that is currently spreading all over the world. Principle: gather in front of a camera (preferably wearing fancy costumes!) and shake your body erratically! That's all! Don't ask me why it caught on, but it did... To a point that yesterday (Saturday) I witnessed one in front of the Eiffel Tower. I made this little video, for you to see better... Funny as hell (if you like that kind of stuff of course, otherwise, if you think it's silly, I suggest you watch this.

  1. I dare say that there never has been, never will be again, an Eiffel Tower photo quite like this!

  2. Well, Eric, I do live under a rock and yet I have still heard of the Harlem Shake. Your video is cute. Yes, it is silly in the extreme, but after many months of angry protesters around the globe, I am glad to see happy and silly smiling people.

  3. That is very cool! Sadly, all my dance moves look like the Harlem Shake or the out-of-sync Electric Slide that Jimmy Fallon and Michelle Obama did yesterday.

  4. with all the sadness in the world every once in a while you just have to stand back and lighten the mood a little bit....not saying that if I was there in person I might be nervous about some of these costumes and who was inside them. Eric, quite a few pops of color in your video! You always seem to be in a happening place my friend.

  11. Moi, je vis sous un rocher. Comment est-ce-que je pourrais le manquer, puisque j'ai grandi à Harlem (NY)? And Eric, if that is a self-portrait, weren't you afraid you would be taken for beef? (Sorry, I couldn't work out the proper vocabulary/grammer for the last bit.)
