I'm just back from Nice where it rained a lot! (a big storm crossed Europe during Christmas), so surprisingly there was today more sun In Paris than when I left the French Riviera! I took a photo of a very typical café : le Café de l'Île Saint-Louis, which is perfectly located - just across the Île de la Cité and where they have a very nice - and quiet!- terrace. Now is the time to prepare the new year!

Thanks, Eric, for showing sunshine! There hasn't been much of that in New Hampshire lately, and for sharing a photo from my favorite spot in Paris, Ile St. Louis.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful red against that blue sky !
ReplyDeleteI wish I was there right now! Love the waiter with the long white apron!
ReplyDeleteThat sky! I had the most wonderful fish soup at that café, if it is the one I think it is.
ReplyDeleteAfter taking this lovely photo, did you go down the street and get some good stuff at Berthillon?
ReplyDeleteWe had Sunday Lunch there this year. A charming elderly Parisian lady who realised we were Scottish came over to speak to us to tell us how during the war her brother had a Scottish friend who was such fun that she decided she wanted to marry a Scotsman!
ReplyDeleteShe never did however - she was having lunch with her French grand children!

ReplyDeleteFirst went to the Brasserie in 1980 and go back every time I'm in Paris. Lots of great memories with family and friends. Thanks, Eric!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
