Before I left for Malta I had to make a movie about the working conditions in bakeries! I then was lucky enough to shoot images during a whole morning in a boulangerie. Here is one of the shots I took. Quite appetizing isn't it?
MMMMMMMMMM I so wish I could take one croissant from the photo to share with my Café right now... Croissants are even more enjoyed when it is cold outside and the café is hot. The timing is excellent Eric on a Sunday morning. I have just woken up ! I am sharing my breakfast with PDP like I usually do. But today, I miss the croissant for real .......
Don't worry about finding the "best" croissant. Don't let 'perfect' get in the way of 'very good'! I think every neighborhood boulangerie probably makes really good croissants. Here, the only good ones I've heard about are gone by 8 am because all the early risers buy them all. -Jeff
I had to wake up early today. Here is my morning hello to you! Hope you'll show up with a new photo today. I'll come back later. Hope also you are not in trouble to post but just sleeping tight. I've left some croissants to you ;)
Hum, that looks so good! Aren't you going to miss those? Hopefully you found a nice bakery in Malta!
ReplyDeleteI am! For according to my experience, I've never been able to find good crispy croissants outside of France! The bread here is very good though.
DeleteQuite appetizing!
ReplyDeleteI'm full from dinner right now, but I could still eat a few of those.
ReplyDeleteGood picture for the Sunday morning!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'd like more than a picture though... I'd beam you some if I could!

ReplyDelete;-) I thought it was a perfect Sunday picture actually!
DeleteYum. Double Yum. Can't wait to have one of these for real! (Where do I find the best ones?) :)
ReplyDeleteAlmost everywhere. But the best I ever had were at Fauchon at Place de la Madeleine. But according to Paris by mouth the best are slightly outside Paris (in Malakoff, a close suburb).

ReplyDeleteYou can always have croissants when you go back to Paris for a visit. But I'm glad to here the bread there is good—that's important!
