I had to pick up something near my home last evening and on the way I passed by this pretty odd scene. This guy was having a gourmet McDonald's meal at this bus stop while these sheep were looking at me. I suppose it's an ad but I didn't go around the bus stop to check what they're selling! I know I'm baaaaaahd ! Anyway, this photo won't win a prize, but I kinda like it ;-)
And what were those half-shorn sheep selling?
ReplyDeleteHalf-shorn sheep selling sea shells down by the sea shore?
ReplyDeleteMore likely they're selling pickled peppers.
ReplyDeleteGourmet and Mc Do's do not go together in Paris or anywhere else. I do however LOVE this shot. Love the composition, the sheep the colors......TOUT! :)

I think this is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWell they're half shorn, so they must be selling...WOOL! :D
ReplyDeleteI like it. It's spunky. :)
ha...funny!
ReplyDeleteI like it too! There is something about the way he is dressed, the way he wears his hair that makes him look as if he could be their sheepherder...
ReplyDeleteWho's bad? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love any scene you describe and this one is ... great. LOVE it. Yes, who's bad? Not these sheeps... I can feel it :)))

Hey Eric:
ReplyDeleteI really like this picture just in its awkwardness, a certain dream atmosphere.
I mean : Who's bad ... like Michael Jackson asked.
ReplyDeleteThat's what hit my mind :)

Hmmm. Eric, are you sure you weren't tempted to go into that McDonald's? :) Deb
ReplyDeleteSheepies! I remember from our travels in Wales that there are sheep everywhere. But not usually on a bus stop. These are really cute though. I would agree with Eric's tongue-in-cheek reference to McD's as "gourmet". LOL The only time I'm hungry for a double cheeseburger is when I'm not feeling well, then it is the only thing I want.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say exactly what Virginia said. Gourmet McDonald's?? Are you kidding? Or perhaps you were being fa-sheep-tious (so sorry). I like the picture too.
ReplyDeleteAre they introducing the "Mc Mutton" perhaps?!? This whimsical shot gave me a chuckle...I thank you for that, Eric! =)
ReplyDeleteOK, Alexa - I stopped myself from commenting earlier that the ad men would come up with a good yarn - (to avoid another "Groan" from Michael!) but now I have to say you're the one who should have a sheepish smile on your face!!
ReplyDeleteOr should I just say ewe got a good one in! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, Carrie!
ReplyDeleteGood one, Beau Gosse!
@BeauGosse - that's funny too! I didn't see it before!
ReplyDeleteMaybe those sheep will escape the ad men by getting on the next bus that comes along -- you know, go on the lamb....
hide out from the chops....
ReplyDeleteand hole up in a barn that they've rammed their way into....
ReplyDeleteSomebody stop me!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't know why, I knew my comment box would be full of sheep comments tonight!
ReplyDelete@Debs "Hmmm. Eric, are you sure you weren't tempted to go into that Mc Donald's". You know me too well!!
I'm not sure about this sales campaign - you've got English pubs and Irish bars, but I'm not sure that even Paris is ready for Welsh topless clubs.
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' it!!!! =)
ReplyDeleteI saw the ad today in Paris : a Virgin mobile offer which catchphrase is "arrêtez de vous faire tondre". Something like "stop to be sheared" ; "stop to pay too much"...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous - in the US we'd say "stop getting fleeced"! Its exactly the same analogy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Carrie.
