Photo Shoot
So the reason why I had dinner at l'Atelier Renault yesterday was to prepare a photo shoot that took place today in La Vilette. The French car manufacturer thought of a pretty cool idea to promote one of their latest models (the new Megane). They invited a few bloggers from several countries in Europe (including France of course) to participate in a giant, joint photo shoot. I was one of them. The result will appear on a specific website on January 21. I'll let you know more about it. (The white part in the background is... snow!)

On a plus de pub à la télé, mais si PDP s'y met!
ReplyDeleteAu moins, pas de problème pour la pause pipi ici. LOL
So where was my invitation then?
ReplyDeleteANOTHER 'new' Megane? Surely now they should think of another name. I love the shot of the photographers.
lol Guille you and your pause pipi!
ReplyDeleteSo maybe mine was lost in the post huh? I mean, I'm a blogger, I'm in Europe, if a bit half-heartedly, I'm a journalist, what's not to like? Pah! Wasted opportunity Mr. Renault, wasted opportunity. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting. I can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteAh, elle me plait beaucoup!!! I can just see a little tomato-red one in my driveway!
ReplyDeleteWow, Eric - you are truly famous now - part of the chosen few :) Bravo!
ReplyDeleteYes well done Eric. I'll just shake my head sadly and console myself with chocolate. As you see.
ReplyDeleteDo we get to see your shot of the "new" Megane, Eric?
ReplyDeleteGood job on GF, Guille. Tu fais peut-etre reference a la neige jaune?
Lynn -- how dare they diss you like that? I'm aghast and insulted on your behalf!
Hey Pont Girl you're here! How exciting! Haven't seen you for ages! I'm re-reading the Austen sagas. What're you reading? Oh I'm meant to be sulking aren't I...
ReplyDeleteI know, Alexa. It's...it's unforgivable. Sniff (indignant, not sob).
ReplyDeleteHow very cool to be thus chosen, Eric! I'm sure you took some awesome photos of the new cars. They all look pretty nice, but I probably wouldn't like to pay for them.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the snow while you have it!
Some verrry fashion forward shoes on the middle guy! I love how you captured the event for us here, not just a glamor shot of the car.
ReplyDeleteI am so very impressed by your Class A status in the blogosphere!
ReplyDeleteAnd what an economical way for Renault to advertise their new Megane to the masses. Someone over there is one smart cookie.
I bet Michael will be in soon to offer to clean that chocolate off of Lynn...
I'll begin puckering up then Suzy.
ReplyDeletelol. Oh well at least when I get a top job with Top Gear I can do the 'Pretty Woman' thing, arrive in my Merc, walk in to Renaut and say "Big Mistake. Huge!"
ReplyDeleteHello, dear Duchess. Yes, I did pull a disappearing act, but have thankfully returned.
ReplyDeleteI am certain that your invitation was merely lost in the mail and you will be owed a huge apology, Your Grace. After all, you have covered the Royal Family, all the goings-on in Cheltenham, and who could ever forget your awesome coverage of the Liz Hurley wedding? They clearly missed out on not having you there.
I am reading "The Life of Edgar Sawtelle" - interesting book, and I did order the Riverton book you recommended, but haven't read it yet.
Oh what fun Eric. Did you know any of the other bloggers? I see lots of snow outside the window.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Elaine - I love that you photographed the photographers! And the snow is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see what the other bloggers post about this.
Hey, nice to se you, Pont Girl!
ReplyDeleteSuzy -- Not for nuthin' (as we say in NYC), but Michael should be so lucky!
How cool to be included in the invite.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Japanese drivers will assume the windshield of the Megane is an alterable lens and so arrive at the car dealer with an optometrist's prescription in hand.
January 21... January 21... why does that date seem to have meaning... ? Oh, well. It'll come to me.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Eric on being selected. Now if Renault is able to sell this car in the current financial environment it will be a miracle. Lynn, I'm more a savory guy not a sweet-fiend. If you were covered in crisps (potato chips for us normal people), then I'd be on the first Eurostar to tend to your needs. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Pont Girl! How lovely it is to see you again. I'm so glad you're here. You will love Riverton. I will look up the book you are reading.
ReplyDeleteMichael oh dash it! Where are those crisps?
...tend to my needs....swoon.
ReplyDeleteIn the littlest details, the salt of the life...
ReplyDeleteHow cool to be invited to participate Eric! Congratulations. Were you allowed to test drive the Megane too? I'm all for these smaller economy-minded cars, but it's tough getting a complete drum set in them. lol I do like the snow in the background.
ReplyDeleteGuille...A GF congrats. Aussi, your "pause" comment was too funny. ;-) We sometimes refer to them as "a pause for the cause."
Nice winter photo. Looks like everyone is a little cold, burrrr. Great action shot of the photographers/bloggers.
ReplyDeleteBTW Eric, my favorite journalist, I saw in the news today that Tintin is celebrating his 80th birthday. Everyone surely knows who Tintin is; but just in case you don't, he is a cartoon, and is the "eternal boy reporter."
Here's the link to the news clip (it's very sweet): http://www.france24.com/fr/20090110-Tintin-Bande-dessinee-Herge-anniversaire-80-ans-vingtieme-siecle-belgique
Hey choccy chops, love the pic :)
ReplyDeletehe he Sue. Glad you like it! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember who it was exactly wondering what it was like when things were all in black & white (hmmmm), but I found a little explanation here! Full of car advertisements to boot.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed that Michael. They're all American so I don't remember any except I Love Lucy, Bonanza and Lassie but the nostalgia was all there for black & white alone! Great.
