Sick day!
Sorry I won't be long today in this caption as I have been attacked by a wicked virus - we call it a "gastro" which is short for Gastroenteritis - and I spent most of the day in bed with a really strong fever (among other symptoms LOL!). I'm not very original though; about 3 million people caught it in France over the past 13 weeks... Nothing serious (although it can kill I read!) but not really pleasant. I thought it was appropriate to post a photo I took some time ago of one of the former entrances of the Hopital Cochin in the 14th arrondissement. They kept it "as is", which I think is a very good idea. Now let me go back to bed ;-)

Get well soon! XO
ReplyDeleteOh no, feel better! I like this photo :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Eric and I hope you'll get well very soon. I hate so much when I am sick that I can almost feel what you've been enduring today. Take care and get well as soon as you can. Oust the wicked virus!
ReplyDeleteI guess you could always shoot some snaps from the bed!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will be up and running again in a couple of days.
Hope you are better..my father used to call it the "Spring Purge"...getting rid of the worst of the winter..LOL!!
ReplyDeleteOhhh..and the doorway pic is charming by the way.. ;-)
Now that's real dedication, posting from the sick bed.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling much better real soon, Eric.
I thoughtI must be shedding my dinosaur trappings about the internet, because at first, I thought the gastro virus had to do with the computer. What a nutter I am!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have the kind of gastro virus that only lasts for a day. Get well soon!
So sorry you are sick! Hope you are up and about soon. Thank you for the charming photo :)
ReplyDeleteYou got out of your sick bed to post? Man, that's dedication.
ReplyDeleteGet better soon there. I don't get even colds hardly ever. One thing I do though is have a little orange juice each day. Maybe it is the vitamin C.
ReplyDeleteEric, I echo the sentiments of the others. Hope you're on your scooter again soon.
ReplyDeleteWell it's an across the pond illness then, I had the same thing a few days ago! Hope you're feeling better soon. I like the pink!
ReplyDeleteHope you get well soon! And I hope you don't need to go to the hospital.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet you posted anyway—as always. (And you dug up a really appropriate photo too.) God bless, Eric, and get well VERY soon!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon and thanks a million for posting today. Your devotion is so appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThat's one pink surgery! And of course I had to look for your reflection - I think you posted yourself behind the wooden doorframe!
Oh -- so sorry to hear that you are ill. Remember last year the big scare was the H1N1 virus? That seems so long ago now. You have to hurry and get better. You have your annual PDP picnic coming up in May and you want to be feeling your best. Take care. bisous
ReplyDeleteBTW, it is a beautiful shot of the mosaic/tile over the door. It looks so herbal and healthy and all that.
Get well soon. Hope it wasn't all that singing and dancing yesterday that got to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear you got "the bug". I join everyone else in wishing you a quick recovery! Take good care :)
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Eric. And thank you for the lovely pink photo. I checked out the website and looked for historical photos of the place. It looks really interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi everyone, thank you for your get well message. At least today I'm (barely) on my feet.
ReplyDeleteIt had really been a long time since I was sick like that... I don't think I'll be able to go out today though, so next photo will also be a stock photo!
A stock photo sounds perfect, Eric! Please go back to bed, and I join everyone in wishing you a speedy recuperation. {And today's photo is a beauty!}
ReplyDeleteI love the shades of pink and the textures in this shot.
ReplyDeleteAnother stock photo is certainly in order. You must take good care of yourself and not overdo. Just feel the good vibes coming from us all around the world and stay in bed.
Glad to see you are up on your feet but you're wise not to push yourself. This image is a wonderful dip into the archives.
ReplyDeleteRest and hydrate! Sending you "get well" wishes from Michigan.
ReplyDeleteTake care and get well, Eric!
ReplyDeleteBut it's a pity you can't enjoy the nice weather we have in Paris today (and yesterday !!)... coz' rain is expected again for tomorrow ;-(
Oh, get well soonest, Eric! Glad you are feeling better, and hope that full recovery comes very quickly. Thank you for your dedication to us and our need for a picture of Paris each day. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this photo and I love that they left it as it was!! I hope you feel better very soon!! Probiotics are good for the digestive system if you can find some. Thanks for an amazing photo and for you dedication!! Valorie
ReplyDeleteLance Armstrong is tweeting from France that he and 8 member team have same GASTRO. Hope it passes for all soon.
ReplyDeleteIs there a date for the PDP Spring picnic?
Eric, I'm glad you're feeling better. I'm happy to see your stock photos, they must be wonderful! I'd love to see more photos of Hopital Cochin, it looks like an interesting building--very different from the usual Paris glory, in its way.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're down with the gastro. Be well soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better I had something similar all weekend it was only really when I saw the photo yesterday I began to feel like eating something.
