To raise awareness on this dramatic fact, Action against hunger (Action contre la faim, in French) organized a clever event on the Champs de Mars, à Paris: a banquet against hunger! ReplyDeleteThe first sentence of your caption says it all. I like the focus you made on the word "Banque" as a meaning of an "order" in a certain way. Without your post, I would not have known the event was taking place on Champs de mars.

The French are certainly masters of the PR campaign. This is brilliant and marvellous to bring awareness to such a sad fact, in the hope of a solution.

ReplyDeleteIt is a sobering thought that even in this day and age people die from hunger, and not just in what we would consider "third world" countries, but all around us. Thank you for the reminder, and may we do something about it.
