Colorful chairs
Fashion show, luxury hotel, vintage Alfa-Romeos... haven't I been spoiling you these past few days?! Time to go back down to earth ;-) Here are a few very simple chairs that I found in the 3rd arrondissement (rue Dupetit-Thouars more precisely). As you guessed, they belong to a café and since the weather is not exactly sunny at the moment, well, they have no reason to be used... I found them pretty though. BTW, this reminds me of an early post of mine from 2006...

I love the colours! Especially the green and the pink!
ReplyDeleteWow, great shots in your recent posts ... and here's one chock-full of my favorite colors! Your photos are so interesting.
ReplyDeleteThese are great colors! I generally dislike the mixing of red and pink (except on Valentines it gets a free pass) but mixed with the blue, green, and gray, it's quite beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey don't look very sturdy -- I would hesitate before sitting in one. The cafe sure does have a lot of them -- so I'm guessing that people really do sit in them. :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ... like a rainbow. Will look for this cafe on my next trip to Paris.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in your chairs are so VIBRANT! They are jumping off the screen. It is as if I am standing right there with you. I found you from Louis. Your blog has much to teach me. It has been a great first visit!

I thought immediately of your earlier post too-I happened to be in Paris two weeks before you posted that shot and happened to have taken the exact same picture (though I didn't discover this until I found your blog two years later)! Great minds think alike, mon ami. :~}
ReplyDeleteAnd, Genie—I'm so happy to see you here at the source!
So sad...terrasse days are numbered :(
ReplyDeleteLovely colours though!
Lovely! I clicked the link to the previous shot, and in that post there was a link to an older shot, and I've just been enjoying myself.
ReplyDeleteEric, you have somehow recreated PDP at the same time that you have continued what you have always done. What do I mean? Who are all these new commenters, these additions to the PDP family? I love it. Welcome to all of you!
ReplyDeleteSo, who the hell is this Jeff guy anyway? Just a 'Caine in love with Paris, that's all...
By the way, where is la Reine de Seine? Anyone heard from her lately?
They ARE pretty. I think this is about two things--the fact that Eric has talent and the fact that everything looks more beautiful in Paris!
ReplyDeleteSummer is becoming a remember, a hot memory, a simple past in the grammar of our brain.

There's are no shrinking violets or wallflowers hiding in there, Eric. How vibrant and jolly!
ReplyDeleteI just love this photo. Lovely colours in the chairs. Makes me wish I was in Paris so I could walk past, but your photo is the next best thing to being there. Thanks Eric.
ReplyDeleteI like this photo a lot. The chairs makes me want to go to this café for lunch ;o)
ReplyDeleteyeah Jeffs right, it's so great when new people comes to join the PDP gang, lol...
BTW Eric, you are spoiling us every day with your lovely photos and I am, and I think all of us are, so grateful that you keep going on. I can't do without the daily dose of Paris.
ReplyDeleteAs Jeff was warmly welcoming all new PDP members, I thought to myself that thses chairs would make a great seat for each one. Help yourself :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I also thought that I miss you all. Like friends you can't see anymore and you know you won't get a chance to see any quickly... for some reasons. This photo is evrything but not sad. Colors are just wonderful wherever you can meet them, in a photo or in life.
I pick pink!! An my son wants a red chair, my husband the gray, and my daughter, she'll settle for the blue. I love all these colors and think it would be lovely to see outside of a cafe. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Jeff and Alexa, nice to see some new faces on here! Welcome!
Fantastic!!!
ReplyDelete:))))
ReplyDeleteEric, I just see how very much I miss with my computer dead and me just hacking a bit from time to time on a very ancient (but helas still working) English laptop of my dearest Hero Husband!
With this colourful shot you have made me a happy bunny - I took a similar shot (colour and chair wise) in Switzerland about two years ago and it reminded me to try to search for it - once I have a new computer that is.....
I love the whole panoplie of colours and I smile for the summer that has left us so suddenly!
gros bisous, Kiki
Great shot!
