Fire!

No this is not a fire set by demonstrators, but flames coming out of a "tool" (I don't know what it's called!) that workers use to stick horizontal street signs to the pavement. I just thought it would make a funny photo.  FYI, the Paris street signs are fully monitored through a very sophisticated computerized system so that it's really well maintained

  1. Better this than burning cars, for sure. It's a really cool shot, Eric—and I've learned something too. Thanks! (Do all the workers who maintain Paris's streets wear some shade of green?)

  2. I agree...a REALLY COOL SHOT of the fire! Is that a bridge in the background? The green looks like a fireman's suit to me. This photo is SO interesting.

  3. I can't help but think of the Yves Klein exhibit, and his recurring idea of fountains and bridges and walls of fire.

  6. You captured very well the flames, Eric. If you had hidden the tool at the foreground, it could have approached even closer to a ghostly vision.
I could spend hours staying next to good and safe flames. I'm almost asleep with these flames on mind...

  10. @Valery "His brain is really hot and working so hard" At first I did not understand but now I've got it LOL!

In fact when I took the photo I was a bit reluctant because I thought the guy would not like that too much. Turns out that he really did not give a dam!
