Artsy tables
Sometimes the most simple things have a very interesting visual appeal. Hence these tables that a restaurant aligned along a wall to protect them from the rain. They could be part of a piece of art in a modern art museum, but they're just tables along a wall LOL! It's a shame that I don't even remember the name of the place, I could have credited them! Have a good weekend everyone, I'll stay in Paris this time...

They look like disproportionate music stands and I was trying to figure out the story before I read the text! I like; thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting photo, all the squares, and I really like the lines of cobblestone. It's still freezing where I am. It will be wonderful to see the return of tables outdoors. Wish I could say, "I'll stay in Paris" for the weekend. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was art work at first, too.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons it is so appealing to the eye is the principle of art it represents....repetition. Think of all the Campbell soup cans in an Andy Warhol painting. That was an example I used to use when I was teaching art!
And it also shows the rule of thirds. As you can see, the picture is divided into thirds horizontally. Learned that one last year in a film class.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots this week, Eric! It's amazing and wonderful that you can continue to be creative and find new things to show us about Paris after all this time. Merci!
ReplyDeleteThe table tops remind me of beautiful stone and terra-cotta accent floor tiles you see in some of the gracious buildings of Paris. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of the repeated pattern; very artistic indeed!
ReplyDeleteLike it a lot - there's a very nice simplicity in this pic, and repeated elements - squares, which I love - and the crosses of the legs, I mean feet of the tables. Nice :-D
ReplyDeleteI agree with Petrea--Beautiful shots this week!! Of course, the ET is my favorite, but the simplicity and complexity of this shot is fun. I love the lines leading you in, the squares and the thirds, the faces of the tables waiting for their closeup, so very intersting!
ReplyDeleteWonder if you see yourself that your "eye" just gets better and better over time. Enjoy your weekend in Paris (I'm looking forward to mine!).
ReplyDeleteYes, a very appealing photo of everyday life. A topic of the Impressionists: every day life. The colors here could be a Whistler study. "Study of the Artist's Favorite Cafe in Brown and Grey".
