Carnaval 2011
I don't know if you remember, last year I took you to the Paris Carnival... A pretty small event (read the caption I made last year if you want to know why) but still touching and interesting. This year I chose to go to the workshop where some of the participants (the ones belonging to this theater crew) make - should I say "build"! - their costumes and outfits. It was very interesting to see them put so much heart into their work. I took several photos and did not know which one to choose, so for once I made a little patchwork.

What wonderful shapes and colours they have created and you have captured, Eric! I am off to read the information from your post last year. I would be delighted to see them in action.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours of your patchwork, Eric!
ReplyDeleteI followed your link to one year ago, and found this funny chat I had that day with Carrie and Drummond ;-)
Nice memories...
I love all the color! And the "patchwork" was a great idea, Eric. I love to see the backstory on how things come together. This is fun. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your mosaic too! I see that last year the parade went from place Gambetta to the Hotel de Ville—does it always follow the same route?
ReplyDeleteOh, how I love theatre and opera. This mosaic is wonderful...so colorful and so full of talent. I know it was a treat photographing all of the images. What mosaic program did you use. I like the configuration of this one so much. Being that I enjoy putting collages and mosaics together , I am always looking for new programs to use.
ReplyDeleteAww, cute! the patchwork works great in this case. Very colorful and suggestive of fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteC'est la fete de la galette des rois, c'est ça? J'oublie...
if its the one I saw on Sunday it went from Belleville to Republique!
ReplyDeleteHello, you can see the rest of the photos realized during our "défilé du carnaval" !
