Look at the sky!

This is a typical Paris zebra crossing - that is a recent one, for when I was young we had Passage Cloutés - literally "nailed pathways" that is pedestrian crossings bordered by big nails hammered into the cobblestones. Anyway... I thought this was funny because someone used one of the stripes to write a pretty poetic sentence:  "look at the sky!"

  1. Looking to the sky whilst crossing the street could lead to accidents!

    1. LOL. This is very well seen !... Again, this is a great sense of the observation.
Love it ! Looking at the sky is something I need to do each day but it doesn't last long enough... And it does matter ! ...

  2. Could the Passage Cloutés have been there in 1971? I seem to remember them.

    2. You may be right Eric !
I still haven't but I think it is possible to find a few ! That's interesting, I'll have to look for them like a kind of challenge-game ! I'd send you a picture if I saw one quite quickly ! Not obvious that said !

  3. I love these messages :) The guy who writes them is a 24 year old Romanian who studied philosophy at Sorbonne and lives in Paris. Same messages could be seen in Bucharest: http://www.ziare.com/social/romani/flori-de-colt-priveste-cerul-mesajul-care-a-impanzit-bucurestiul-si-parisul-cine-si-de-ce-il-scrie-1313704
