I don't know if you remember this photo, that I took not long after the reopening of the Paris Modern Art Museum. At that time there was still work going on and there graffiti everywhere, but now it's almost over. That allowed me to take a much "cleaner" photo even though much less surprising. For the records, let me remind you the web address of the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris. Also, I'd like to wish my American and British visitors a peaceful Monday off.

Outside the Modern Art Museum
I don't know if you remember this photo, that I took not long after the reopening of the Paris Modern Art Museum. Big J(D)ump at the Modern art Musuem
There is a fantastic museum near the Trocadero called the "Musée d'art moderne de la ville de Paris" (that I mentioned several times here). They recently worked redid the main esplanade which was really old and dirty and did a real good job. Only, recently, they installed this roller skate ramp, and now the place is slowly turning into a dump again... Weird.

Splendid door
This door belongs to the Musée d'art moderne de la Ville de Paris, a museum that was built during the 30's, more precisely for the "Exposition internationale des arts et des techniques" (International Exposition dedicated to Art and Technology in Modern Life) that took place in 1937. It was erected on former military lands. Everything in this door is typical of that period, even the font that says Musée de la ville. Beautiful.

Paris Modern Art Museum just reopened

You all know Le Louvre Museum, especially with The DaVinci Code movie about to come out, but there are many more museums to visit in Paris (130 at last count!). One recently reopened: the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (Paris Modern Art Museum) and it is really worth the visit. The back of this museum (outside) is still under construction and that is where I took this photo. The graffiti is real graffiti and not part of the museum, but of course, I wouldn't tell the "artists" that.

Stolen photo
This photo may not look very spectacular to you, but I love it. I took it outside the Musée d'art moderne de la ville de Paris (the Paris modern art museum) on the river Seine side (almost where I already took this one). There must have been a special night on that day as the whole museum was turned into a huge restaurant with lots of guests. It must have been nice to have dinner in this magnificent set. I've tried to find what artist(s) was(were) featured on this floor but I did not find the answer. Probably a painter from the 1920's 30's.

Respublica ?

I took this photo last night on top of the Musée d'art moderne de la Ville de Paris (the Paris Modern art museum) on my way back home from having dinner with my father. Call me ignorant, but I have no idea what this big sign means. Is that a brand, the name of an exhibit, a new Republic?! I looked up on the web, and found nothing. If someone knows, please, enlighten us!

Youth!
It's a shame I cannot show you faces (the French law is very strict about this), for I would have loved to show you this very touching young couple who was spending some time outside the Musée d'Art moderne de la ville de Paris. I don't regret it that much actually as I really like the composition in this photo. I hope you do too. Have a nice Sunday everyone, mine will be very quiet, like Paris at the moment!

Hide and Seek
I played a little hide and seek game with Miss Eiffel Tower yesterday ;-) As you can see the sun has returned, and we're not expecting snow before Thursday now. I took this photo from the right bank, at the Musée d'art moderne de Paris level. Enjoy the beginning of the week everyone. Remember: there are only a few days left before Christmas... Don't wait till the last minute to buy your presents!
