Here is a cute graffito that I photographed on one of the boxes of "a bouquiniste" (booksellers of used books installed along large parts of the embankment of the Seine). This little symphony may only have 2 notes so far, but who knows, one day, it may end up like this! That's all folks, just the results of my today's meandering ;-)

ReplyDeleteLet's see...key of B flat...eighth notes of E flat followed by a C. I admit it's clever...could be the beginning of a C minor chord...it's a somber beginning.

ReplyDeleteYes Alexa, there is quite a bit of English graffiti in Paris, but I hesitated for my <a href="http://infini2.parissetmefree.com/2011/04/infinity-squared-vous-etes-ici.html>latest work</a> (for the streets) and decided to do it in French to respect the language of the place I live, and hopefully more people will understand it too!
Funnily enough, I think a lot of French street artists do stuff in English in an attempt to reach a larger international audience - go figure!!
Sorry, that should have been latest work and you can't delete messed up comments either! At least the sun is shining here in Paris :-D

This morning, I read in my building a paper informing us that the City of Paris was currently doing on demand a cleaning of grafiti. And for free. So, maybe, grafiti will be harder to find in the next weeks... Maybe only uninteresting ones, unlike those we had the opportunity to seen in PDP. Hopefully.
