Face the music

Here is a cute graffito that I photographed on one of the  boxes of "a bouquiniste" (booksellers of used books installed along large parts of the embankment of the Seine). This little symphony may only have 2 notes so far, but who knows, one day, it may end up like this! That's all folks, just the results of my today's meandering ;-)

  2. Did you know you quoted the august porcine cartoon character, known to the English speaking world as Porky Pig???

  3. Let's see...key of B flat...eighth notes of E flat followed by a C. I admit it's clever...could be the beginning of a C minor chord...it's a somber beginning.

  4. LOL, mes amis PHX and Coltrane! And nicely captured, Eric—though I wonder why it was written in English (as is so much of the graffiti in Paris). Peux-tu expliquer?

  5. How inspiring to start the day with PDP and some famous classical soundtracts ; Bach, Beethoven, Mozart. Great find, once again, Eric. Your eyes or meandering are amazing.

  6. Not quite Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, or even Massive Attack's, but cute nonetheless as you say!
Yes Alexa, there is quite a bit of English graffiti in Paris, but I hesitated for my <a href="http://infini2.parissetmefree.com/2011/04/infinity-squared-vous-etes-ici.html>latest work</a> (for the streets) and decided to do it in French to respect the language of the place I live, and hopefully more people will understand it too!
Funnily enough, I think a lot of French street artists do stuff in English in an attempt to reach a larger international audience - go figure!!

  7. Sorry, that should have been latest work and you can't delete messed up comments either! At least the sun is shining here in Paris :-D

  8. It's beautiful. The thought that there is music still to write, paintings yet to be painted, art to be created is inspiring. (I may have to get back to my art table today!)

  9. It would be great if a note were added every day, even more fun if it were added by different people. Sort of Paris Daily Note.
Wonder how it would sound after a year?
I think I know the answer.

  10. LOL Drummond!
What would be the answer ?
    A cocophony, maybe ??

This morning, I read in my building a paper informing us that the City of Paris was currently doing on demand a cleaning of grafiti. And for free. So, maybe, grafiti will be harder to find in the next weeks... Maybe only uninteresting ones, unlike those we had the opportunity to seen in PDP. Hopefully.
