"Look honey, just like in Las Vegas!"

Yesterday - apart from editing the Picnic video! (see, on the upper right corner of the right column) - I had lunch outside of Paris, in a Western suburb which is still pretty protected from urbanization. On the way back, just as I was getting on the motorway feeder, I could not help but stopping and taking this photo of the iron lady. The blue sky is not Photoshoped, it's 100% genuine ;-) A nice way to start the week... (check bacj here for the PDP picnic video, currently being uploaded to Vimeo

  3. An old saying we have here is "Close, but no cigar." You could also say "A miss is as good as a mile." But I'm glad Ibarionex and Cynthia were there. Check him out--he's a great photographer:

  5. A picture is worth a thousand words and nothing truer could be said of this one.

Rarely is the movie better than the book but the 6th annual ParisDailyPhoto Picnic video could challenge almost any write up.

  7. The video where Rose said hello to me is also my favorite. That one made me cry. That was three or four years ago.

  9. Las Vegas is a very casual place, with that you can dress as comfortable. Las Vegas area attractions that are suitable for the whole family. There's always something to see in Vegas.

  11. But Vegas doesn't have the Seine! And that video is "insane". What happened to that editing you promised? :-)

  12. It's a great shot (and I'm glad to hear someplace is protected from urbanization). Just watched the picnic vimeo and I almost (I said almost!) felt like I was there.
Some old friends and lots of new faces too—how nice!

  14. I love the video. Very well done Eric. One of your best (including your own interview) amongst all the best other ones! The Seine makes Paris so much, I agree.

  18. Eiffel Tower!! (I don't want to take Suzy's trio, so I'll just say it once, but I think I'm just as excited. :) Then again, I might be more excited about the:

Blue Sky!!! It has rained here a lot of late, along with a lot of fog and cool temperatures, so blue sky is something to be treasured. Thank you for sharing your treasure today, Eric.

  20. It's nice to see the Iron Lady from different vantage points. The framing in green with a blue sky topper presents a peaceful viewing. Glad your picnic was a success. I look forward to checking out the vid!
