No need to be a mind reader to know that you will probably love this photo ;-) It's actually another shot I took during the picnic - which, just for the records took place between the
Pont Neuf and the
Pont des Arts (precisely in this photo), a pedestrian bridge that was built at the beginning of the 19th century. I took it at 9 pm, just when the sun was going to bed...
Pretty photo!

ReplyDeleteAmazing photo! Sunset magic :)
ReplyDeleteTomate, I've often thought the same thing! I love coming to this site every day; thanks, Eric.
ReplyDeleteGlorious and dreamy photo, Eric. I just watched the Video of the Picnic on Vimeo and really enjoyed it! Anderson Cooper better watch out, you performed some great interviews as well! Thanks a million for all you do. 8^)
ReplyDeleteMon Dieu—the bridge, the sunset, the ET! This is one for the 2012 calendar, for sure. Seriously—wow!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, if I weren't already jealous enough, now this! I can't believe you all got this sky thrown in for good measure! I still have an ear to ear grin from watching all the so, so happy people on the terrific video -- seeing familiar faces and meeting all the folks from so many countries whom I'd never met before. Thank you so much for all the work it took to put it together, Eric. And thanks, Michael, for helping Eric have something to take a video of!!Paris - and you - just make us all so happy!
ReplyDelete- Carrie
I don't know, Carrie, I was a little disappointed that there were a few people in the video who didn't mention my name...
ReplyDeleteTangerine skies over Paris...doesn't get much better than this!
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNot that a single other enticement was needed to make me wish to be at the PDP picnic ... but ahhhhh ... How exquisite this view is! What could make it better? Enjoying it with my friends from PDP. Well, I'm sure we're all enjoying it virtually!
ReplyDeleteIs it my imagination, or is the ET sinking a little bit?
ReplyDelete;)
Pont des Arts is not historic or beautiful like the other bridges in Paris. It is less crowded, absolutely free, and perfect for a picnic dinner, for viewing the sunset. The Pont Des Arts at sunset is one of the most romantic places in Paris.
ReplyDelete@Tomate (and Sandy) and many others who already asked me "@Eric, we need a LIKE button on these posts ! ;"
ReplyDeleteYour wish is my command. I just installed it (actually I just took the time to look for a way to do it!)
If I knew how to say I love this photo in 20 different languages it would still not sufficiently say how much I love this photo!
ReplyDeleteHah, I think I was next to you when you took this and you were moaning that you'd only taken this shot about a thousand times before! It's a hard life... ;-Sab
ReplyDeleteI DO love this photo! You clever, clever photographer you... xx
ReplyDeleteEric, love the photo! And I have just watched your video from the PDP Picnic.. awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteOnce again you've made my day.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
I am sure that was a good moment in the picnic. That sky is a dream.

Yay! Thanks for the 'like' button!!
ReplyDeleteOh come on! I cannot take it any more! It's one thing to make us all wish to have been at the PDP Picnic, but it's another to make our mouths drop open in front of co-workers!! Haha....one year my wife and I will be with you, as her birthday is May 11 and I have long wanted to make our fall trip to Paris into a Spring trip so she can see it in May, a great time to be in love, and in the City of Lights..
ReplyDeleteSean
Eric, the best scenes from the Seine are as you captured here... when the day is ending, or even when the day is beginning. Let's bottle these colors and we can make a fortune!!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie

ReplyDeletePont des Arts bridge at sunset. This bridge is literally covered with thousands of locks left by lovers. In summertime nothing beats watching the sunset on the Pont des Arts.
ReplyDeleteOh My God !! Awesome this post and really its very beautiful pics.
ReplyDeleteSunset Scene is an awesome and Romantic Moments for us. No need to be a mind reader to know that you will probably love this photo. Fabulous Scene.
ReplyDeleteOH I saw this photo on another site. It is stunning Eric. I love this bridge as well. I love the angles of the support beams below! I'd love to put the FB like buttons on my blog but I would never figure it out. HELP!
ReplyDeleteV
V--you saw this photo on another site? That's not right, this is Eric's photo.
You are right. Love it! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis a gorgeous photo :) I love sunset in Paris:) I went back there in June 2011 and I took a lot of photos during sunset from different places within Paris:)
