Sorry, I've had a terrible day today and no time to go out and take a photo (nor to file the ones I took of the white dinner party, needless to say!). So in the meantime here is one the the Cour Carrée du Louvre, that I took when it was beginning to get dark. Sorry, no time to complete my caption with historic facts, now I have to rush out...
So sorry you had a bad day, Eric - thank goodness it's the weekend. My boyfriend and I were in this spot in November and he spent a looonnnggg time trying to get a shot just like this with about the same lighting. Our camera just kept making everything orange. He will be jealous.

I just had to deal with a few other people's problems (I was happy to, don't get me wrong!) and all this in the middle of all the things I had to do for my work, made it a little complicated ;-)
But you know, it was just one of those days...

ReplyDeleteThis photo is so dramatic - I just love it. And, since I saw Midnight in Paris last night, opening this up was like theme day!! (I agree about the light, Flore.) I laughed all the way through the movie (esp. check out Adrian Brody) and, if you love Paris, its a real treat for the eyes. I may just have to buy it for those evenings when I've had a long day and need to get away to Paris....
