Look at this cool sculpture! Isn't that a great idea? I found it on the Port de Suffren, by the Eiffel tower. Unfortunately I did not see who made it and could not find the info on the Web. If you know the artist, please let me know. This reminds me of a well-known problem that French mailmen have to face: every year 2 000 of them get - sometimes very seriously - bitten by dogs! BTW, thank you very much for your nice words yesterday. Now I know that your favorite monument in Paris is ! But I had no doubt about that...

i love this sculpture!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! We have all had such encounters with dogs i am sure.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sculpture!
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it was "Tintin and Milou" but the dog doesn't look like Milou at all. I love the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteI love the sculpture. Great catch, Eric.
ReplyDeleteOur mailman won't come near our house if the dog is outside, and I don't blame him. Although Boz is a gentle creature he's a big guy, and why should the mailman take a chance? By the way, Boz is friends with Milou, the little chien down the street who belongs to our French voisins.
J'adore le chien! ^_^
ReplyDeleteLooks like the work of the Colombian sculptor Edgardo Carmona. As for the dog vs. postman problem—I think this is universal.
ReplyDeleteLove it my threee favourite things dogs , paris and bicycles .
ReplyDeleteBTW loving the polltogo .
Rusty but quite cute...!!
ReplyDeleteThat makes a cooool photo ;-)
Nice. as Alexa said, its by Edgardo Carmona. I think last year these sculptures were displayed in Clamart.

ReplyDeleteIts expo of sculptures by Edgardo Carmona, organized by Ports de Paris. There are in all 28 pieces of art exhibited from Pont d'Iena to Pont du Garigliano.
my heart is pounding and my ankles smarting just looking at this.
ReplyDeleteLOL Having had this happen more times than I would like to remember as a child, this is slightly scary! But it is very well done and the artist is quite talented. Now...if they would only pick a different subject... :)
ReplyDeleteyou should have Google +1 on your pictures!!
ReplyDeleteLove this picture BTW
First things first -- I didn't get to check in yesterday, so I just saw your new venture and WOW!! Congratulations and the very best of wishes for success. You are an inspiration -- working hard to build the life you want out of the things you like, want and dream of. That's truly exceptional!! May all your hard work pay off and all your dreams come true.
ReplyDeleteAs for today's photo - which I found nothing short of enchanting - to me it just looked like a boy and his dog, having a frolic, and so happy together. Takes me back to my childhood..... merci!
not only postman dear friend...
ReplyDeletei was once nearly bitten by dogs due to the careless of the home owner not closing his gate... da**
