Dinner outside
Here is where I had dinner with a few friends to celebrate a birthday! The weather was gorgeous, the scenery (well, see for yourself!) and the food exquisite - Not to mention that since it's a no car street, it was very quiet . On the cultural side, you should know that this is the Gervais-Saint-Protais church, an exceptionnal place, both outside and inside. Now, are you jealous of me?!

This is a very romantic shot. Looks like something out of a movie, I can almost hear the violins ;o)
ReplyDeleteThe word 'jealous' is just not in my dictionary.
ReplyDeleteSome swine tore the page out.
Can't you just hear some nice French music wafting through the street as people are enjoying a nice dinner this gorgeous night? *sigh* Just lovely and beautiful. And I AM slightly jealous, this looks like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteYes I am jealous!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favourite places in Paris. I adore the medieval houses which are just round the corner :)
this post also makes my mood to have a dinner outside home. nice post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous.I've not seen it.Next time.
ReplyDeleteSo Eric, are you going to tell us what exquisite dish you had? And,do you and your friends like to taste each other's dishes?
As always, thanks for all that you do.

I also love this area and often stay nearby when in Paris, waking up to the sound of the church bells.
ReplyDeleteThe church is one of my favourites. Its beautiful baroque facade, which is a later addition, disguises a gothic church which is one of the oldest in Paris. It is home to a monastic community and has a very nice sung mass on Sundays, the sisters being very welcoming and friendly, in the nicest possible sense of course.
Two of the oldest houses in Paris are nearby and the place has a feel of medieval Paris. are a number of restaurants and cafes which have all been pretty good.
You know something, this is one of your best photographs! The combination of shadows, blue and the light is incredible
ReplyDeleteDermo
So... somehow you prefer that kind of staff to advertisements for massages... Weird LOL!
ReplyDeleteSorry, wait till you see tomorrow's photo, that I just uploaded a few minutes ago LOL! (But you still have to wait midnight, Paris time...)
Very jealous!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have you seen this?
