Art!!

I know that modern art is not an easy topic to deal with, but there is a lot in Paris and from time to time I like to report about it. Thus, this week, I went to La Maison Rouge, an art gallery located near Bastille, where they celebrated the launch of Slash Magazine, an online magazine that... deals with modern art. The main exhibit was dedicated to Winnipeg, and this little sculpture was part of it, I believe. Don't ask me... Maybe one of the "treasures" that will be part of the huge treasure hunt that the Paris city hall is organizing this Saturday!

  1. Hey! It's the Eric avatar that advertised the picnic! Well, it's good he got another job. Does he still do that sexy leg swivel dance step?

  2. Oooh, I LOVE treasure hunts! Are you going to participate, Eric?

I'm not really a fan of modern art, I'm more of an Impressionistic and O'Keefe girl myself (Georgia's flower stage, not the skulls, etc) I love using my camera for things like that. But I'm glad someone else enjoys it and can see new and exciting things in the world!

  3. I think she must be the Stay-Puft Marshmallow man's girlfriend! And somebody got hungry, and took a bite off of her head...

Treasure hunt! Treasure hunt! This sounds like so much fun - I wish I could go!

  4. LOOOOL jeff, well seen.
    This is ODD, honestly!
To say a thing, I'd ask whether it is Betty Boop who has a big headache or who thinks too much ... ?! Yesterday was a green theme and today ;) Ok, just art. Modern art is cool, I like it.
The huge treasure hunt sounds great but that won't be with me today, alas ! Could have been a great fun if a PDP team was running... though! Well, such a team would probably be disqualified :)

  5. All I know about Winnipeg is that it's cold. I hope this isn't what the inhabitants look like.
Perhaps the permafrost has this effect if you stay outside too long.

  6. This piece of art? Let's see . . . nope, I don't get it. But the chasse aux trésors? Really, really wish I could be there for that! (Thanks for the link, Eric—and have fun if you're taking part.)

  7. In fact, Eric, I was a bit disconcerted with this picture at first. But isn't it the purpose of modern art? All I knew about Winnipeg was nothing. Thanks to Wikipedia, I now know it is in Canada.
Drummond, LOOOOOOL, always so funny ! I hope so too :) I'm glad to know you don't live there and me neither. I swear, I don't look like that...
