Big Jump!

I don't know if you remember Taïg Khris, a French guy who loves to jump off anything with roller skates on? Last time he jumped from the Eiffel Tower and yesterday he did the same from... le Sacré Coeur. And now that I have connections in Montmartre ;-), well it was easy for me to cease the right moment! Taïg Khris claims to have broken the record of the longest jump on roller skates with 29 meters. Impressive. Watch this in motion, in this little video if you want more...

  2. Seize instead of cease will make more sense. They sound similar but the meanings are far apart. Thanks!

  4. Pas Possible !

When I satyed with my connections in Bellville :.) I looked after un petit garcon for the morning ( my friends nephew) . In the park he sat at the top of the slide and I sat at the bottom . His quick response to my exclamations of of pas possible ( with a Yorkshire accent ) were met with a thumbs up and cries of possible possible before he hurled himself head first down the slide .

    Great photo x

  5. I am sorry, but the record for the longest jump still belongs to my friend Jody who lives on rue de Turenne! She made it on the opening day of les Soldes for the shoes in the basement at Galeries Lafayette! C'est incroyable ça!

  6. Amazing jump, more spectacular than the previous Tour Eiffel 'drop'. What's next ? La Grande Arche ? L'Arc de Triomphe ? this guy is amazing. Great picture Eric.

  7. I was pretty sure you were going to see him jumping, Eric. But I did not think you would be so well spotted. I surely should have for you always have stunning connections, haven't you? Good and fair! I hope you enjoyed his jump even while shooting him...
I watched the Youtube video you linked to. How amazing... Taïeg Khris seems to be such a nice guy ; I'm really scared he might fail one day... There's something seriously dangerous with performance : willing always more and more performance...
Prefer not thinking to that. Best trust him for his science and his talent! x
Ooooh la la it is already late today ; first morning I'm really lazy. Welcome to July and the Summer period...!

  9. That is SO cool! I was just thinking about his jump from the Eiffel Tower yesterday. (Really, I was.) I don't know what brought it to mind, but there it is, so to see him again is really interesting. Sacre Coeur? Wow. But is that more or less impressive than the Eiffel Tower?

  11. This photo is truly stunning...
What will it be next time? Hmm, that's a question!
He really had to be very concentrated to his goal ! The hardest was probably to land well, I guess. Sure his heart was beating very strong. Sure he loved that and felt fully intoxicated by his achievement. Well, what a good encouragement to do big things (even smaller ;))!!
